Your hens should be approaching their full grown size at approximately 18-20 weeks of age. Begin introducing Organic Layer with Corn 18% gradually to allow for a slow adjustment to the new feed formula. This is more important when switching from a different type of feed such as crumbles or pellets as your chickens may not immediately know how to consume a mash style feed. Refill feeders only after all feed has been consumed. Trough feeders provide the best access to our whole grain feeds. Be sure to offer fresh water, plenty of Cluckin Good Layer Grit and you can begin to supplement Cluckin Good Oyster Shell. Our feeds can be fed dry, moistened, or you can also boost the nutrients by fermenting your flock's feed.
